I rode a Super Duke, it's quite nice, but didn't impress me the way a GS or a HP2 Enduro can. In the US Superduke is more expensive than the K12S. 16 grand in the US is a lot of money for a bike, so it better be awesome. I found it to be very 2 dimensional, meaning a nice hooligan bike only. Also, I didn't like that it lost torque in low RPMs (3K) in 3rd gear. a Bike like that should pull at any gear, changing gears all the time gets boring fast. you can start a HP2 Enduro in the first 3 gears no problem, in fact you can ride it in 2nd gear around town without changing gears all day. That bike just pulls without any issues.

I didn't do a review and these aren't journalistic opinion, just my personal thoughts on the SD...

I think now is ABS available for Megamoto. Also my HP2 Sport comes with ABS.

that is the missing piece on all super sport bikes right now. if they can come up with a hard bag system similar to what they have on their existing bikes, but can be semi-easily removed, or is integrated well enough that it doesn't have to for the track.
that will make it attractive to loads more people

You state what I have been saying. These bikes WILL resemble Jap bikes. NOTHING innovative about them. The same stereotype mold. What can they change ? How can they be different ? No possible way.

BMW is going to lose its essence. I predict that they are going to fail in these segments. They will not be able to keep up with the big two, Honda and Yamaha. These two will always be able to trump BMW who is treading on their domain.

they're supposed to have pneumatic or desmo valves.
also, this is the prototype/first generation. i think that BMW will take the data they get from racing and apply it to their paralever and telelever and make them better (shaft driven supersport  that would be amazing, it'll go forever like the others)

I remember hearing similar comments twenty five years ago about the then-new K bike line.

The 675 is interesting as a potential track day ride - especially if it has a lot of torque and is easy to ride. As for panniers, I don't know why they couldn't do a system like the ones on the K1200S. It's very integrated and the steel tubes that are slightly exposed can act as frame sliders! My R1100S had a good system too and the little hand rails saved the bodywork when I dropped it on a canyon road.

If I could only have one bike, it would have to be my K1200S for any number of reasons.
06 K1200S Granite Grey, Remus full system, evoluzione air filter, clutch cylinder, torque arm.

07 K1200GT

07 Suzuiki GSXR 1000.

Nothing happened here for awhile. Here is some interesting url to feed rumours:
http://whois.domaintools.com/s600rr.de

I wonder why they register that domain, if anything is coming. :P

BMW has claimed there will be no 600 and the IP is merely to keep someone else from taking the domain.

Hmmm.. is the phrase in the picture "Computer-Generated Image" the now politically correct and acceptable way to say "Totally Fabricated and Speculative"?
